Information We Collect

ATG Putting Practice collects limited usage analytics when you use the app. This includes metronome session activity and settings, Distance Chart settings and slope-measurement activity, practice-round activity and saved round summaries, app screens and help information opened, app and update version, operating system and version, general device type, and a randomly generated installation identifier. If the app encounters an error, we may also collect crash and diagnostic information such as an error message and stack trace.

Motion Sensor Data

When you choose to measure slope, the app temporarily reads the device's motion sensors to calculate the slope beneath the phone. Raw sensor samples are processed on your device only while a measurement is active and are not stored or transmitted. Limited measurement summaries may be included in usage analytics, such as the calculated slope, whether the phone was face up or face down, calibration mode and age, sample count and duration, and measurement stability or failure reason. We use these summaries to evaluate and improve the feature.

We do not collect your name, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier, payment information, or the content of other apps. We only collect your email address if you choose to include it with in-app feedback so we can follow up.

Optional Product Feedback

The app may ask what part of your putting you would most like to improve or how you understand and estimate putting slope. You may also choose to send quick written feedback from the feedback screen. If you respond, we collect your selected answers, written feedback, and any optional email address you provide for follow up. Please do not include sensitive information in your response.

We use this feedback only to understand user needs, improve the app, and respond when you provide contact information. Closing or dismissing a feedback prompt does not prevent you from using the app.

How We Use Analytics

We use these analytics to understand how often the app is used, how long practice sessions last, which features and settings are commonly selected, and whether app updates are reaching users. This helps us improve the app and decide when it may be appropriate to ask users for product feedback.

Third-Party Services

We use PostHog to process and store analytics events and submitted product feedback, including an optional email address if you provide one in the feedback form. Session replay, touch autocapture, location collection, advertising identifiers, user profiles, and cross-app tracking are disabled.

We use Expo to deliver app updates. When the app checks for an update, Expo may process the operating system, project identifier, IP address, and a randomized installation token needed to deliver the correct update.

We use Sentry to process crash and error diagnostics. Performance tracing, session replay, and default collection of personally identifiable information are disabled.

Data Linking and Tracking

We do not sell analytics data or use it to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. The random installation identifier is used only to distinguish repeat app usage from the same installation. If you provide an email address with feedback, that feedback can be associated with the email address you submitted so we can follow up.

Local Data

App settings, units, Distance Chart preferences, in-session slope calibration, slope-measurement usage qualification, feedback and survey prompt state, unfinished practice rounds, and saved performance-test history remain on your device. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data and installation identifier and prevents future analytics collection from that installation.
